Come scoprire quanti scatti ha la nostra reflex? Il bello della fotografia digitale è che una volta comprata la macchina le foto sono praticamente gratuite. Questo ci spinge spesso a scattare senza il minimo freno: ho amici che riescono a fare migliaia di scatti in una sola giornata! Però c’è da tenere presente che specialmente nelle reflex, dove ci sono parti meccaniche in movimento (specchio ed otturatore), alla lunga ci possono essere problemi di usura e quindi guasti.
Nelle schede tecniche è spesso riportata la vita prevista dell’otturatore. Ad esempio la Nikon D700 è garantita per 150.000 scatti. Ma come fare per controllare quanto ha lavorato la nostra reflex? Non possiamo considerare infatti la numerazione dei file, dato che ogni 9.999 scatti viene automaticamente azzerata. Alcuni visualizzatori come Opanda riescono ad estrarlo dagli Exif. Tramite questo sito basta inviare un JPG scattato dalla propria fotocamera per avere in risposta il numero di azionamenti dell’otturatore fino a quel momento. Vi consiglio di scattare un JPG alla minima risoluzione e massima compressione, nonché di avere un po’ di pazienza: il servizio a volte si blocca e si è costretti a riaprire la pagina e ricominciare daccapo. Come vedete dalla foto in apertura la mia D700 ha all’attivo circa 26000 scatti in circa tre anni di vita. La mia reflex ha quindi lavorato relativamente poco, appena 9000 scatti all’anno: la vostra?
