Corel PaintShop Pro X6 Now Shipping

Corel PaintShop Pro X6 is now shipping to existing customers, with the global launch scheduled for September 4th. This new version offers much faster 64-bit performance, an improved user interface with dedicated Manage, Adjust, and Edit
workspaces, video tutorials, new Auto Selection and Smart Selection Brush tools, and a free Membership program.
Corel PaintShop Pro X6 will retail for 69.99 Euros / $79.99 ( 49.99 Euros / $59.99 for an upgrade) for the standard version and 89.99 Euors / $99.99 (69.99 Eruos / $79.99 for an upgrade) for the Ultimate version. The Photo & Video Suite X6 bundle, which combines PaintShop Pro X6 and VideoStudio Pro X6, is priced at 119.99 Euros / $129.

Magic Lantern cracks “dual ISO” on 5D2 and 6D for 14 stops of dynamic range

 

A few weeks ago, planet5D was sent a significant update from A1ex over at Magic Lantern announcing 14 stops of dynamic range for the Canon EOS 5D Mark III and Canon EOS 7D – and at the time, he didn’t think there was any chance that other cameras might get the same excitement… well, over the weekend things changed with these two tweets — now the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Canon EOS 6D appear to get the same incredible dynamic range!

This “Nikon D800x super kit” camera sculpture is huge

It took a Nikon fan from Taiwan one year to create this XL version of the Nikon D800 camera. The creation (sculpture?) is called "D800x super kit" and has a detachable battery grip, 14-24mm lens and an illuminated top panel.  The camera, lens and box are all hand-made. The details are amazing - from the images you cannot tell that you are looking at a model:
